We’ve Gone International!

InternationalKitty

Kitty couldn’t be more excited.

I knew this stinking cat would be good for something some day. Well that day has come. Now I’m famous in Oz (that’s Australia for those of you who didn’t live there for three months thirteen years ago) and it’s all thanks to him!

Allow me to explain. Not long ago my brilliant post detailing the Ten Reasons I Know I’m Getting Older reached Sydney’s sandy shores. Not via message in a bottle or anything, but due to this nifty internet contraption. Soon after, the author of the city’s premiere veterinary website for small animals took notice of how often I mentioned my cat in my posts and naturally thought “What a great interview she would be!” Well I couldn’t agree more.

    How awesome! :)

  • Vanna

That’s crazy! I was waiting to hear Janes name. That is super awesome! Congratulations!

  • Vanna

PS Kitty looks super dapper in that picture!

  • Gabriele Davieds

You look excited…and Kitty looks pissed! However…This is soooo exciting. Congratulations.

Can I share a “cat story” about my cat and my daughter, Kelly? And how THAT relationship is going? Ha! Ha!

How cool is that!? Congrats on the international fame! I would pay someone to let me go on and on about my little hot dog, Cassie. Love the Tron-like pic of your cat on the barstool, btw.

  • Amy

Awesome! That picture is priceless! :-)

  • Rach

You were quasi-famous in Australia before the interview (I live in Australia and read your blog… that’s fame, right?), but I like that it’s officially official. Goodonya!

    • Kelly

Oy Rach! No way! Australia is arguably my favorite place on the planet so I am thrilled to be developing an audience there. I’m going to have to start doing posts on Fosters, dingoes, kangaroos Crocodile Dundee and boomerangs. That’s what you guys like to read about right? You know what I really miss from over there? Tim Tams!

      • Rach

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s why I moved here permanently. And hey, did you know you can find Tim Tams in the US? True story! Last time I was home (I’m a California kid originally), I saw them at Cost Plus World Market. Similar packaging, but they’re called “Arnott’s Chocolate Biscuits”. Same addictive goodness, though.
